Databank is a new service that has been created for some of our clients.

It came about when one of our clients wanted all of their registered providers to be able to access and use some teaching aids that were initially developed as posters. These materials had been customised specifically for their use and there was also a copyright issue that had to be protected, so that only their approved registered providers could use the materials.

Databank was therefore developed and it enables registered users to access customised publications on-line via a secure area of our website. It means that we can offer this service to organisations who would like to have materials customised to their own individual needs and then offer them to their own approved network to use.

This service is especially useful for delivering practical reference materials. An example of this is our multi-language teaching aid pack for early years practitioners in foundation stages one and two, teaching English to children from other ethnic backgrounds. This pack consists of around 180 posters covering the six areas of learning and each poster has a picture on it to graphically show the subject being taught. The words are then included on the poster in English and another language, which in our example on this site (see link below) is in Arabic, but it can be customised to any language. Each of the posters can be downloaded by registered users via a password and users can then print off the posters should this be required to aid their teaching. This on-line pack also carries user guidelines to help providers maximise on the potential of the pack.
